Wheeling at Rausch Saturday April 17, 2010

Alright I need to hit the trails and April 17, 2010 is the day for me. Looking to do whatever, but would like to hit some harder stuff to try out the new meats as well. Maybe even hit up The Crack on Crawler Ridge for for a buddy.

Maybe even head up on Friday after work and do a little camping.

Well I was done early today. We started out in the comp course and the 4 Runner walked right up the Gauntlet. So we headed down to Jotters Way hill climb on the right. On my second attempt I stalled, at which point the truck rolled back down the climb 50-75' as I tried to miss trees as we went, I clipped the last one with my drivers rear tire and ended up like this.

Luckily no one was hurt.

We rolled it back over and let it sit. Fired it up and took it back up to the trailer. I would have kept wheeling, but when I hit the tree, I bent the drovers side spring pack to hell and lost a good bit of head room, but we were able to bend that back out with the HI Lift.

So far I like the Pitbull Rockers, but I hope to get a bit more use out of them next time. Right now I am going to try to bend and beat the cab back into some sort of shape and get a cage put in it.

The new property has a ton of potential, just need to cut the trees. Lots of mixed terrain from stocker to even a full on comp buggy would probably not make.

Wowzer! was Jotters so loose that brakes wouldn't hold ya and whammo... backsliding into a roll? Crazy!

I was in the wrong gear and stalled, restarted and stalled again and had no brakes with the motor off and away we went.

I was hoping to not be buggying it yet

I got the roof mostly beat back tonight, along with stripping the interior, just need to strap and pull the drivers side A and B pillars back to the drivers side and I will be ready for a cage. Got the drivers side door area back into shape and now the door opens and closes.

Also have my new rear spring about ready to swap in, had to stop though with that project since I wacked my thumb and it hurts like hell

Still need to pressure wash everything off since it has a nice coating of gear oil, at least the under side won't rust now
