I want to put to a vote a nomination for Wheelers Off Road to be our first honorary club business. They would be a club member without having to pay dues but they could not vote on any issues or officers. This would allow them to attend runs and help advertise our club through their business. Some of the Wheeler crew plan on attending our pre-run and are also planning on donating items for the TLCA McGrew run raffle.

I would also like to put a link to their website on our homepage to help promote them. I talked to Jason today and told him I would like our members to give them the chance to meet or beat pricing on items we plan to buy elsewhere. He said they get good deals sometimes and might be able to help us out on purchases but can't obviously beat all the pricing out there of the big sellers. He said just to call him with a price and if it's too good beat he will tell you "you got a good deal there, buy it!". At least we are giving them a chance and trying to keep our $$$ local when we can. They are planning on moving further into the Cruiser market soon.

Please vote a Yes or No on them becoming an honorary member:

i like to keep $$$$$ local whenever i can. it really seems some people could care less about that.
the Wheeler family does a good job for its customers and the community as far as i am concerned.
i may hit up Jeff and Cliffy next time i am at the dealership.

Yes for me.

I like keeping my money local, but Wheeler's a bit out of the way for me. Plus they won't give me cdan's price. Plus I'm lazy, so if I can order parts with no pants on.....

Way out of the way for me, but a great idea to keep it local for you guys. My vote YES.

Yes. But we should nail down a % discount for our members. I drove up there rather than to Lithia to buy some bearings last week. They gave me a 10% discount and I was happy with that. But for the big orders cdan still rocks.

BTW, What is the difference between Wheeler Toyota and Wheeler Offroad?

Two different companies completely. Cliff at Wheeler Toyota is the one we have to convince that our club deserves a discount. Maybe Aric has better "ins" with him, not sure but I can usually get a discount from the counter guys although they aren't supposed to give it out or so they say. It would be nice to know we can get a x% off of retail though. We will work on that part next.

Definate yes!!!

And I want cost :grinpimp:

X2! or CDan's price!

No problem posting them up on our site, or buying from them, but when you have someone like CDan that knows EXACTLY what you need or don't its hard to trust some of the other guys.

If I wasn't clear:

Wheeler's Off Road is an aftermarket parts supplier (ARB, OME & many others)

Wheeler Toyota is the dealership. This is where we need to work on a discount comparable to CDan if possible. I believe CDan is close to 20% and we would be lucky to get 10% but no shipping.

Clear :) Sorry running with scissors and tripped.

I was just trying to be funny....I guess I failed misserably :(

Looking to get a quote on a ARB roof rack do you have info to contact or a website. Do I need to mention that i'm a JSC member.

Josh

Josh,
I have a MUD contact that I got all of my ARB stuff from. I'll send you his email. He was able to give me some great prices no one could touch but I also got a lot of items :)

wheelersoffroad.com and ask for Jason. Tell him you are a JSC member and see what he can do for you. He can sometimes save shipping by having your stuff come on one of their orders and that usually helps.
