I picked up a new (to me) 416 and trailered it home because the wheels are falling apart. It currently has some 16 inch rims. I would like to switch the wheels over to a 15 inch Toyota rim to be consistent with my 40. Are there adapters that I can use to do this?

What is the bolt pattern on your Toyota? the M416 has a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. I used wheel adapters from A-DAPT-IT USA Wheel Adapters The customer service is great, but they were kind of expensive (about $70 per adapter). The adapters I bought were 5 on 5.5 to 5 on 4.5.

I would much rather spend $135 for a new 3500# idler axle with 6-5.5" hubs (or $260 for the same axle with brakes) than the same money on some adapters.

After looking closer at the pics i realized that you've got something other than the M416, I dont know what it is but someone on here should be able to identify it. It is similar to the M416 but the M416's have angular fenders, not round ones

I noticed that to. Maybe a WW2 era Bantam trl? I found one like that when I was looking, had Jeep white spoke wheels, came from a fire dept. One of those day late/dollar short deals. Al

Looks to be the M100. Either way, it has the old Willys/CJ bolt pattern. Unless it is a restoration, I'd second the vote for a new axle compatible for your Toy bolt pattern. Good luck.

OK I took some Acetone and cleaned up the data plates. Can anyone interpret for me?
