Whew, what a day! The 81 sure is a different driving experience with no front drive shaft. Unwinding with a Honey Brown Dead Frog, then I'll post up the pictures.

Yep- We both went home with the CDL on. I think my left drive flange s*** the bed the very moment I was turning to bring my headlights to bear on Ateb John who was under your truck in a puddle! (lol) He helped me with my issue and determined I could drive home safely.
Awesome day out, weather mostly co-operated and got to upper Hut- first time for me. Thanks John and Ruwi for the awesome lunch- BBQ chicken, steak, Lamb.. Wow! Did a bit of 3 wheeling and Lance almost rolled it again, giving up his drivers seat to HZ Brent. I have never seen Lances' truck handled so competently! Jeff (Mr. absolutely maybe) tried out all of his Cruisin' off road accessories (thanks Jason!) and John popped the cherry on his mint Prado with some bumper customization- Thanks everyone, sorry I got a bit lost at the start.

Yeah, great scenery, good company, some exciting wheeling, a tasty BBQ, interesting ending = pretty good day. John was doing well until Graham jinxed him, beaking off as usual before anything happens. Brent had fun driving my truck, instead of being a passenger for the whole day. I did get nervous when he slipped into the V, and looked like it was going on it side, I braced it just in case, but the tires grabbed and walked out with no further incedent. It was great to wheel with George and Jeff, hope to see them on more outings. There's no lack of excitment with Jeff(Enigma) thrashing on his truck.
