Hopefully located the source of my mystery noise this afternoon, this ball joint looking thing is actually broke, I just wedged it back between for the photo. Thanks!

Looks like a sway bar mount. What part broke?
 
Easy fix. Those seem to rust pretty bad. Not noticeable until you remove them.
 
If you are putting in a new sway bar end link, I highly recommend replacing the rubber cushions as well. And of course, if you are doing one side, you should do both. Plus, it will ride better. I forget if they come with new nuts, but I believe they are lock nuts and not sure if they are reusable, so I also recommend new nuts.

Both of the sway bar end links were rusted through on my 100. I replaced both with TRW assemblies. The assembly included the link, cushions (top and bottom), washer and nut. Everything you need for a easy 5 minute installation.

That sounds right up my alley, quick question though.....what is TRW?
