Whats the biggest and widest tire you can stuff into the undercarrige on a 60?

It sure seems spendy to buy a swing out tire carrier. I think I'd rather buy a welder and make one myself, but I thought I'd check to see what would fit.

I want to go with 33X10.5s after I lift it up a bit.

I ran a 33-9.5 and a 33-10.5 under mine, no problems they're just kinda snug. Just keep an eye on it as it goes up and make sure that it seats.

LOL, dont worry about that, find some where else to put your spare! That has to be the worst option.

For daily driving, the underbelly location is just fine.
Off road it isn't that great- hangs down, tends to rub on things, and is a serious PITA to get out when you are in rough conditions.
Cheapest option is to run the spare underneath for daily use, then stuff it into the back of the rig for wheelin. Roof rack option isn't that great either- lots of weight up high, and again... in rough conditions you are better off using the cargo area than climbing around on the roof.

Thanks everyone!!

Ok, this got me thinking. I hate the underneath the tail mount and eliminated a long time ago. Right now I run a 33X9.50 spare on my Con-Ferr rack. Not much better, but at least I dont drag it or bang it. I want a back bumper/spare tire carrier but that is a bit of $$. What position do you place it in when you put the spare in your cargo area? I assume you could only run a "space saver" type spare (a 10.50 or 9.50 on a skinny rim) if you planned to carry it in your cargo area. Then the roof rack would have to carry all the lighter gear that was displaced by the spare. I also like the idea of not having the weight hanging way on the back of the truck and all that... Hmmmm.
