WHat you want is in the inside fuse panel. Hook into the ignition wire(fuse), thats the one I use for all my dual batt set ups. Are you using the Wranger stuff?

I would not use the alt.

im using the painless one. are you sating the fuse block on the inside driver side? and the ignition fuse? will that give me power only during start and run?

thanks mike

LX-Mikey,

You really need to buy the FSM and EWD for your truck. It's dangerous asking others to look up information in their Toyota manuals, then using that information to wire up your LX.

Open up the fuse panel on the inside of the cab, I expect on a LX its in the same place as a Cruiser, on the left hand side of the dash. Look at the backside of the cover, it will tell ya which fuse is which, look for the ignition(I think that what its called) if not use a test light and test the fuses untill you find one that only has power when the key is in start or run, then use the little thingy that clips under the fuse to take power, the power load is very small all it needs it power to triger the selnoid for the dual batteries so that the 2 batts are joined when starting or running. I assume the Painless kit has a 3 way switch as well?

yes its a three way switch. thanks for all your help i got everything hooked up and it works great.

thanks for your help again
