What year Celica (seats)?

I'm still up in the air between getting a pair of Celica seats or a pair of Dodge Neon seats for my FJ62. The Dodge Neon seats will pretty much bolt right in, and I've been told that certain Celica seats will too, but what range of years (or what models) do I want to look for? I like the design of the mid/late 80's Celica seats, and if I can at least get new foam and upholstery for 'em, there are plenty of good frames at the local junk yard. I've been holding off on getting the good '95 Neon seats I fould in case I can make the Celica seats work. Suggestions?

Don't spend too much time looking for beat up seats that will need reupholstering just for a "bolt in" installation. Fabbing brackets to make almost any seat fit is easy with just plain old steel stock you can get at Home Depot. Find the seats that best fit your derrier and then figure out how to make em work.

So pretty much most seats will work as long as they can be adapted to the truck's brackets? That'd really open up my options, though either way I'd probably reupholster 'em fairly soon after installation. I'm anal like that

Yes, to a point. They will still have to fit within the space the OEM ones did...

Will 2001 neon seats work? Been to the yard and found a pair for 50 a piece. my driverside is trash. completly of the hinge on the right side. i cant even lean on it anymore. i figure if i get newer model neon seats they will be in better shape.

I head Supra TT seats, are the best bet. I like the stock look, but the Supra TT seats look very nice and heard they are comfy!

Be sure to sit in whatever you are getting for a little while to get the feel of them. I dont think I would ever own anythign from a Neon period, but thats just b/c they are crap.
