On the left hand drivers side kick panel above the relay boxes....

I'm having a weird electical problem. Everytime the key is turned to the ON position the 10amp Gauge fuse blows. My gauges dont work and neither do the power windows and sunroof. Following the wires from the fuse box (yellow/silver marks) brings me to this box.

:idea::confused::meh:

I believe it's the seat belt warning relay.
According to my Electrical Wiring Manual that relay is powered by the 10 Amp fuse that also powers the gauges.
The power antenna is powered by a separate 15 Amp fuse.

so i bypassed the box... now everything works. lol. what the heck is the box for then? Is it just some unnecessary component or what?

Have you driven it? How did it shift? I haven't been out to my truck to look but I'm guessing it's the transmission control unit.

SEAT BELT WARNING RELAY

Didn't anyone read the second post?

If the truck works and the 10 Amp fuse isn't blowing with the relay disconnected leave it off. It's not necessary to have. It just controls the seatbelt warnng buzzer and light.

What a joke. You still don't know what the root cause is. Bypassing it is just a bandaid.

Obvious there's something going on inside that relay box that's shorting out to ground or causing a high current draw blowing the fuse.
With the box removed he said all is good.
Solution--> replace the relay, or leave it off. Done!!

Yeah but are you sure it's the box or are you just lessening the current by taking the box out of the loop.
