Nice find Tony. Will miss the runner but look forward to the transformation.

I will miss the runner as well. This will take me out of the 1st gen 4runner club. But being able to drive my wheeler on the street will rock! And having a complete truck will also be nice.

Sweet! It is definitely lacking the character of the first gen.

What motor does it have? the 3.0?

3rd gen, std cab, short bed, 4x4 brings the boner....

Whilst tinkering with one arm on the 92, I did find a small rust hole in the tailgate, on the bottoms of both cab conners is the tiniest of rust holes, all else is very solid around them. And the right front fender has a rust hole at the back bottom. All will be easy fixes and I even have some Toyota sheet metal to patch them with. So not rust free, but 99% rust free. Some paint peeling exists but most of the paint is nice. Even with the new found rust spots I'm still very excited about the swap!

No one needs those tires & wheels?

Sounds sweet Tony. Don't want it too nice, you'd have to spend all your time at the car shows, and have no time to go wheeling.

I'll take a zero on the car show thing....yuck.
I promise it won't be to nice, I'll wheel it!
I'm ready to get it done. Did a very little bit to it today with my one good wing, cause I'm itchin to start it.

Whatcha gonna do with the runner body?

I could use a section of the a piller/ rocker from the passenger side if it's in decent shape.
The turbo has been wrecked before and they did a s***ty job on the piller if they even attempted to straighten it.

Just plan to chop it up. Hang the hood on the wall & maybe the roof. If those pieces you need are decent you can have them. I'm not real sure what their condition is.

Great looking body Tony.........on that truck.

You know you want me Walter!

You know it!

Just realized I have a new seat for my new mini, glad I didn't throw it out long ago, I bet it'll clean up nice.
Gonna work on the project today & tomorrow. More 1arm wrenching, but expecting big results

OK, change in plans, I go out to find a tree has fallen on my shop & tore down a substantial amount of overhang. Busted the tail off only one truss (thankfully) and broke through the roof sheathing between the trusses. Looks like I'll be a carpenter instead of a mechanic today.

Sad face!

That sucks...I'll be available Wednesday morning/afternoon if you need any help getting things patched together over there!
