What is this part?

It looks like a trailer wiring connector to me. Mine has the flat 4 wire connector. It looks like yours has the round 7 wire (I think?) connector instead.
Hey Yahtzee, What year is your rig, and do you have the part# he ordered you?
My guess would that the $3.50 would be just for the little dust flap/cover that folds down over the plug. Looks like thats all thats broke anyway. I'm pretty sure that the plug itself would be considerably more.

Yep.. that's the trailer connector. My 06 came with an adaptor to go to the flat connector.
I was looking at it and was surprised by the way it hung low. I'll be sure to relocate it if I ever take the new 06 off road.

i think i may unbolt this part from my LC and tuck it away somehow unless anyone knows if it can be unplugged....i dont tow anything but will be using one of those flat platforms that go into the hitch for carrying coolers/luggage....
