I'm trying to cobble together a electrical Pin Out diagram of my new carb
(when it's 1hr 30 min away and i will not be back till this weekend.)

but i don't' know what that part in the first pic on the carb is, which is the last wire I need to id.

It's in the upper right with the black wire going to it. I'm pretty sure my harness doesn't have a wire to support it
as older carbs have a vacuum actuated, whatever this is. (going on an unknown year later 22r (laser) in a 1980 pickup)

The Toyota parts diagrams listed it as 'diaphragm' on the vac version
The carb that just came off had a vacuum diaphragm, that was blocked off(with duct tape no less).

Another diagram called it the Throttle Position Diaphragm, is this the fabled AC fast Idle solinoid, I've heard mentioned on here before?

Ok,

To the best of my understanding, this is a fuel bowl vapor vent, that sends fuel vapor to the charcoal cannister temporarily, which is then returned to the carb and burnt.

Still no idea when it should open or close, or where to wire it. Folks said it ran without it wired up ok. Plus i saw a chinese clone carb with a delete plate in place of it.

Also read that when malfunctioning, it can cause backfires.

So I'll ignore it for now I guess.
