Could someone please tell me what is this for.. on he left side of the dash?
Hold your security access card?

Kinda, I think the main use case is toll card in Japan. Not sure if they replace that with an electronic toll reader or just store the card in there.
 
I put @indycole reference cards and a few beach n toys business cards. Could put state/national park passes, etc... But the short answer would be "cards".
 
I keep emergency cash there
 
I keep the proximity card for the parking garage at work in that slot.

Those @indycole cards should be copyrighted and produced. Folks here would eat those up...and finally have something to cram in that slot. :)

Twas a cool little gift from Baja trip.
Someday I’d like to do something similar with s list of torque values for the zillion bolts we tighten all over the place. Often dealing with loose bolts in the boonies and can’t look them up in a pinch. Cole has practically a torque value database...

Funny, my 09 LX doesn't have this "slot." Is this slot only present on LCs?
