These are in the back (3rd row) area near the cup holders/cargo tray of my 2008 LX

Any idea what these do?

Interesting. I searched for it, but had no idea what to even call it lol. Didn't show up in a lexus oem parts search either. Thanks for the heads up.

I was wondering what the ramifications would be if I removed one to put a 12v socket in its place (I've actually already done it). Wondering if there will be any issues with this or not. I don't want to trip any check lights etc... Otherwise will have to try another location.

I believe this the the temp sensor for the rear AC only so I dont think you can remove it without consequences, the front sensor is separate near your right knee lower dash.

Well I guess we'll find out then I may re-install but want to see what happens first.

It will be interesting to see how the climate control behaves without it. Honestly I miss the days of the red/blue dial for AC temp. I'd switch back given the opportunity.
