I'm shopping for a Limited, and most don't have the button in the photo below with the "Off" and "Auto" positions. Can someone please tell me what this button operates?

ive never seen that button, looks like it may have been something aftermarket that was added on. might be for back up sensors or something of that nature

I just ran across this on another forum as well, and as suspected, yes it is for the running boards on Limited models.

The one I was reading about was an option on a Limited 2012 4Runner, so I bet its on other models as well.
