I've tried search..... and all I every find is that you don't need it if it's rotting away, and for that matter, you don't need the engine cover either.
With that out of the way, let's say I want it, and the associated engine cover (which I obviously have) too. What is the type of foam Toyota used? It has to be heat/oil resistant, but it is not rock wool. It is more open celled.
The closest thing I have found is Fuel Cell Anti-Slosh Safety Foam. It goes in fuel cells, so I know that it is petroleum resistant, and I am guessing heat resistant (there are no specs for that). But it looks similar.
Any idea?
