What is the heaviest tire you would run on a LX570 with AHC?

Is there a corelation between AHC and tire weight?

Tire weight increases unsprung weight that the suspension has to handle, which can effect handling and reliability of the suspension. I can't find anyone that owns a LX570 that has run that heavy of a tire, except a guy in Saudia Araba that has special heavy duty AHC off a armored LX. Not a good example.

My LC200 is equipped with AHC, I installed both the BFG AT 285/70R17 and the Cooper Discoverer AT3.
Can‘t say I felt any difference in suspension behavior. It is as magnificent as always :)
I am also planning on installing the heavy duty version of the suspension for different reasons though.

So just to confirm you have a stock AHC system on your 200? That BFG AT 285/70r17 weighs about 56 lbs.

Don't get caught up on tire weight chief. You won't be able to fit anything nearly heavy enough to negatively impact ride quality in light of benefiting in other functional areas.

Just pick the best tire that fits for your needs. But honestly knowing you stick with stock.

Confirming stock LC200 stock AHC. Havent weighed the BFG though. But if it says so on their site..

Thanks after all this info. I whimped out and ordered a set of MicHelin Latitudes in stock size 285/50/20. Off road for me will be maybe a gravel parking lot.

Maybe next time when it's a few years old.. :)

That's what I'm figuring it only has 30k on it now. These new tires should wear out when my LX570 has 70k on it, which is when my drivetrain warranty is up. By then there will be more members that have used a number of heavier AT tires on their AHC AVS equipped 200 series with more information on performance.
