I just need about 2 or 3 inches. Had an Old Man Emu on my '76 which rocked, but don't know which way to go on the '07. I am lifting the TRD SE and planning on an ARB bar and winch so I may need a little more in the front. ??? Suggestions?

For my application I went with the Allpro... I liked the adjustable height option. I need to park in underground parking so I didn't want to go with a 3" lift yet, But liked the idea if I wanted to I didn't need to get a whole new system... I have it adjusted about 1/3ed of the way to compensate for the Bumper, Winch and Skids...

The adjustable shock is nice as well... soften it up for in town use and stiffen it up when I hit the trails...

I am OME all the way. I just like the australian products better myself.

I've got the OME, but the HD rear is a little stiff and fast on the rebound on the trail until I get enough weight in the rear (need a real bumper w/ tire carrier and fuel storage).

This is a loaded question. Depends on what you plan on doing with the truck. I just went with the Daystar kit for now. Cheapest spacer lift I could find. (Just got to get off my arse and install it now, got the front leveling kit done...) I wanted the OME kit but the wife was pissed I was messing with the new truck anyways so I figures I would hold off for a few years. If you are really going to be doing some hard core stuff, desert running and jumping I would look into the coil over set ups. It's just a matter of doing research and finding out what you really want and how much you want to spend. For a good daily driver and a weekend wheeler with great performance for under $700, go with the OME. If you just want the look of a lift and are going to be doing some really mild off roading, go with a spacer lift (daystar is only $139 but some are up to $500 with new rear springs and shocks!) If you are hard core and have lots of money, look into some of the coil over setups like All Pro and Donahoe, they run about $1500 or so. If you want to really spend some money and want to impress everyone, do a Solid axle swap or have it done and take lots of pictures for us! This should only run a few grand… :grinpimp:

Thank you

Thanks for the feedback. I decided on the Old Man Emu. Ordered the parts and they should be here and installed on Friday. I went with the heavy duty front and rear due to the fact that I tow a camp trailer and I'm going to throw a winch and bumper on the front. Will post pics by the weekend. Thanks for the advice. This is the most impressive forum I have ever seen! Great people.

Did you swap out your Bilstein Shocks with the OME lift? I am new to lifts so bear with me...

You will get a set of new shocks with the OME lift due to the travel and normal operation range of the shock being different. I'm sure they are probably valved a bit different as well for off road and on road handling. If he is lifting his TRD I would guess he would have the OEM Brillstein’s left over when he is done. They are not designed to run with a truck with 2-3" of lift.

yup

Yup, all new shocks. Can't wait for Friday!

Make sure you get the OME 886 (HVY) FRONTS not the 885 (med) springs, I had to replace the 885's because of sag with bumper and wench.
How heavy was your wench?
I will not date a wench if she is over 120 lb ;)

That alone if she sat on the ARB would make it sag.

HD Springs

Yup. Went with the HD front and rear. If you did too, did it end up level?

OME not enough.

I went with the OME but you really need more lift. The OME kit will not really give you enough lift for some real tires. I was sad to learn that you can't really get much more than stock tires with 3 inches.

Try 5"

Good post, I finally decided to go with OME 885/895 med., because I don't have a heavy wench, she is about average..;)

Did you lock the front diff's with ARB?

My truck started with the OME lift, but then I switched to the AP Walker Evans setup because I wanted a smoother ride and ability to adjust the front up to level. The OME is a good setup, you're just stuck wth whatever height you get, which usually isnt level.

Pic without graphics is OME, with graphics is the Walker Coilovers.
