I think that it is time to part with my LC. It is a 1999, White Ext. Tan Int. 235,000 almost trouble free miles. I am in the process of replacing the transmission with a reman unit. I replaced the brake assembly at about 190,000. It is in near perfect on cosmetic condition. It has new (fewer than 1,000 miles) Michelin LTX tires. Everything works. Drives and looks like it has 50,000 kid-free miles. California Car with no rust issues. What is it worth? thanks Phil

Hi Phil,

Don't have an estimate for you but FWIW last weekend I purchased a 1999 w/ 158k miles on it for $9500.

It's 1-owner and dealer-serviced; condition in my opinion is 90 out of 100. Imperfections were/are: dent in rear bumper, small scar on front bumper, a few there-but-not-obvious scratches in the river rock green paint, a wear spot on the driver door trim where the previous owner probably rested his arm, steering wheel wear, driver fold-down armrest wear, one area of peeling trim on the center stack, a badly frosted driver side foglight lens, and a little wear on the rear carpet.

Otherwise, it's in pretty amazing shape, particularly the leather seats and headliner. Runs great, doesn't feel quite as fast as my 02 did but it could be psychological. Bone stock, and like yours has almost brand new Michelins.

Point is, I paid $9500 and am quite pleased with the value of the deal.

Hope that helps in deciding what to ask for yours.

With the mileage, I'd say around $9K

I think you got a great deal.

I think $9k is a bit high if you consider that the ~$10k range gets you something with ~150k on it.

I just bought mine, stats were very similar to what "3rd100" posted above.

Here's an example of a truck similar to yours in year/mileage, with a nice modest build sheet, and it has had a hard time selling for $9k: https://forum.ih8mud.com/uzj100-lx470/758068-1999-landcruiser-e-locker.html

In general, I agree...I was giving a bonus for a new tranny, new tires, seller's description (if accurate) and what I suspect is a well-documented service history.

I know the OP is not going to like this, but I'm thinking market closer to $7K. Not to say its a bad truck but our community is a small fraction of 100 ownership. These things are VERY under valued

I paid $12K for my '99 with 125K miles on it in 2007. Northeast trucks seem to bring less PNW seem to bring the most. Check NADA and Kelly's too for bench marking data.

Somewhere between 7-9k is probably right. You're going to need to do a great job marketing it with detailed photos showing just how nice the interior is. Plus documentation of the brake repair and tranny repair and make sure the warranty is transferable.

I just bought one, so coming from someone just in the market you're going to have to have a compelling reason to buy your truck for only a few dollars less than you could get one with ~150k miles on it.
