My truck is in the shop so I can't examine it (see my other 100 thread for why). I have a 2004 and the original sticker says it has the tow package. What is included in this? I have the hitch and assume it's the wiring and empty plug for a brake controller? Does it have a tranny cooler or secondary cooler? Anything else?

I will be doing some towing with it, so a brake controller will be added. For those that have the tow package and a brake controller, will the Tekonsha 3040-p Toyota wiring adapter work?

Great timing on this post. I am actually wondering the same thing for a 2003. I have the factory installed hitch and I am pretty sure that vehicle is pre wired but cannot find the connector (assuming it is in the drivers side floor panel).

Some sources state hey had upgraded alternators to 100A. I've not been able to confirm this on mine yet, which claims to have the towing package.

The window sticker on my '99 says the hitch and wiring harness were installed at the southeast distributor for $325. The trans cooler was standard equipment. No mention on the alternator.
