Installed my SPC/Slee UCAs, adjusted the torsion bars and got an alignment. Today's the first time since I lifted it that it's steered like a car and not a truck. Torque steer is still there of course.

Best mod per dollar yet: 6' tape measure. There seem to always be things to measure for mods and I never have a tape measure at the office.

Replaced the hi-lift mount carriage bolt and wing but on my BIOR bumper with a grade 8 bolt and nut. Hopefully that'll be slightly harder to steal. Not that anyone wants my rusty jack.

Finally removed my roof rack. Thank you Altaf for providing me with the correct part number for the 4 cover plate mouldings. Mine did't have any Torx bolts but ordinary 12 mm bolts. I put shorter ones in the holes and the cover plates snapped right in. I am happy with the result.

Got my winch installed! Still need to properly spool the rope, splice in the viking thimble and move the solenoid box somewhere else... it blocks the view of the drum where it is.

Need to reindex the front torsion bars:

Had a few guys from the Colorado Land Cruisers over for a lift party. Some beers, some hot dogs and lifting the big girl.

We're headed to Chinaman Gulch next week if anyone wants to come along.

Travis,

What are the details of your lift? Getting ready to do our 2000.

Thanks!

Drove 2100+ miles from S. Florida to Golden, CO. Looking forward to a summer of wheeling and camping in UT & CO.

OME 2.5 light/medium lift (860 springs) with the Slee diff drop. 2+ inches doesn't sound like a lot, but boy does it feel higher. Can't wait to take her wheeling to see how she handles.

Ha. I live in west monroe, 5 miles from there. Still amazes me how many people from all over the country take pics in front of that sign!

The picture was a total joke! Just happened upon West Monroe needing a place to sleep. Settled into hotel, made a cocktail and popped on TV. TV channel was set to that show and caption on screen said West Monroe, LA. Googled to see where the building was and it turned out to be 1/4 mile from hotel. Had to get a poser shot for some friends who are into it. Still haven't seen full episode.

temperature gauge installed as well, straight to the tank and allows me to switch the pump off when the temp is at the right spot. showing celsius, which is what we use this side of the border.

Where did you find those switches?? I've been looking for those exact ones to operate all my lights.

Replaced the master cylinder/brake booster assembly with a unit from a salvage yard. Worked for 2 weeks and now I'm back to no power assist brakes. Has to be internally leaking and I'm giving up on trying to swap parts to resolve the issue. Paid $2100 for a new assembly and will install it later this week. Hate spending the $2100 but balancing my anger with the low maintenance costs over the last 180,000 miles.

AC free spool bearing has been noisey for over a year. Finaly removed the AC clutch, hammered out the bearing, and ordered a new one from a local bearing supply company.

Very easy job to remove. Just need a 10mm socket, and snap ring pliers. The 2 parts of the clutch and pulley just wiggle off. CANNOT WAIT to have a quiet engine again.
