finished up the on board water tank install, with skid plates, custom pump mount and water intake.. it's all plumbed to the heat exchanger and works quite well..

temperature gauge installed as well, straight to the tank and allows me to switch the pump off when the temp is at the right spot. showing celsius, which is what we use this side of the border.

Wow

Wow that is seriously awesome! Nice work man. Makes my post feel lame...
But I did get my newer spare put back underneath, so I have room to haul stuff to Moab.

I like how truck axles look with mud tires, just seems right. I like your Trail Diggers Jordan345 :)

I changed the oil too, driveway flex!

Crawled around and looked for squeaks and rattles. Put a couple of zip ties on things. Hit all of the hinges/latches/locks with white lithium grease, had never done that on this vehicle. Also checked all of the fluids and inspected things. Saturday morning she is going to tow the Jeep to Missouri from Ohio, on the way to EJS :)

Brevity, your spare tire is mounted upside down.

I just ran the cable down under the bonnet heat/sound proofing then to a toggle switch next to the battery. Didn't think it was necessary to be able to switch it from inside and have nearly run out factory spots for switches inside. Those that are left are earmarked for other things ;) Its a great thing, so much easier than trying to juggle a flashlight when you're working under there.

I thought of hooking it up to a bonnet activated switch but laziness got he better of me! You'd soon know if you left it on, the whole front of the car would be glowing at night.

Weighed my cargo drawer box. The driver side setup has a space in the back for 2x8" subs, 24" heavy duty accuride 3607 slides and a 26" drawer. Carcass made of 3/4" 11-ply birch, drawer sides and bottom 1/2". Weight includes wings and front panel as seen in photo. 70#

I didn't have the drawer for the long passenger side box. Same total dimesnions but one long drawer and the super heavy duty 9308 locking slides and a 3/4" drawer. Carcass alone is 50#. I'm guessing the drawer, side wing, front panel, etc will bring total weight to 80#. So total weight of drawer system ~150#. I believe the 3rd row seats weigh 95#. I removed the driver side seatbelt and some extra mounting hardware, so I probably gained a net 50#. Not too bad!

As sturdy as that thing is you could easily reduce the weight by perforating the heck out of it.

BB is 2.6#/sf. That would take a decent amount of holes to amount to any significant weight savings. I was actually pleasantly surprised that is wasn't heavier! They sure feel heavy lugging them around. :)

20140402_193629-1.jpg Found I had a grimy looking gunk from the axle. If you have this problem, plan on replacing all four boots. Also, I was glad to receive PFran's LED kit. High impact upgrade indeed..

Cool. I was asking cause I thought maybe you did a switch activated by opening the hood, that would be slick. I kind of like the idea of a switch by the battery as you may not want the light on in the day. I also a agree that a switch inside would be unnecessary, unless you want some cool engine glow ;)
