The only increase MAY come via the increased airflow of the K&N filter. Many years ago, a few FJC owners in the Pacific NW did some dyno testing on a few intake systems and the single benefit was due to the higher flowing filters.

The FJC comes off the showroom floor with cold air intake, breathing through the passenger fenderwell. The most effective is to simply use a drop-in, high flow filter with a snorkle, second is a drop-in, high flow filter. Despite what manufacturer claims may be, real world testing hasn't backed up their claims.

There are many who don't like K&N due to the need for oiling, some believe that it can foul the MAF sensor. I've used K&N for many decades without a problem and took detailed pics of my MAF sensor when I cleaned it after 30k miles of K&N use. For those concerned, there are some excellent no-oil options that are just as high flow as the K&N filters...

What are the speculated BHP increase with the airfilter system ??

As was stated I can't verify the increase with testing but they claim ~11.4 hp based on their dyno of the 2007 fjc. I can say acceleration is faster and mileage seems to be somewhat better.

Kind of a bored one day mod, but I cut down the AT shift knob and still need to cut down and re-thread the shaft. Also painted the silver/grey parts of the knob black.
