What else is worth/possible changing to get more travel/articulation?

Im trying to do a bit of research and all I really see solid info thats easy to find is removing front/rear/both sway bars.
I have my suspension in the garage, beyond potentially changing out the shocks/springs in the rear for more travel, if im going to do anything else, barring things being out of stock, I'd like to do them at the same time while I've got everything taken apart anyways.

Obviously longer shocks and longer springs are needed to maximize travel however when we get a typical 2-3" lift, doesn't matter the brand, Eibach, Dobinsons, Toytec, Ironman you name it, we aren't limiting our travel just based on shock/spring travel or else removing sway bars wouldnt make much difference (which most people attest that they do)

So my question is, excluding getting long travel kits which will be limited anyways without removing sways or making other adjustments, and probably still limited after removing sway bars.

What is the correct order for both the front, and the rear, to get more travel aside from removing the sways, and even then, you would start to become limited by some of the components.
Meaning, what typically stops the travel both front and rear first, and then if you change that out, what typically tends to stop travel next and so on.

Hopefully this will be a great place where people can not only swap out old parts on their car that might be worn, but those looking for a bit more travel can learn what they need to do without thinking they need an entire new suspension. Maybe someone can get away with more articulation on their current setup and not spring for a 28" shock and 20" spring.
