soo i have a guy maybe wanting to trade for my fj he has a 96 4runner with a 3.4 with a 5 speed. i was just wondering if that was a good set up. i know there was a motor combo that wasent very good. it has a dana 44 front and geared on 35s

3.4 and a 5 speed? i'd say take it and swap out that d44 for a 60 or maybe an 80 series axle

Yeah, the 3.0L is the engine most will say to avoid. They are notorious for burning valves and other nasty things.

You'd be good to go with the 3.4L!

It looks like it's hacked together. The front shackles aren't even through the frame that's why it so high. I would be curious to see how he got the back up so high. It sits about 3" above what it should. I wouldn't do it.

yeah iam going to go look at it on monday and if it doesnt look right iam not going to do it.
