What do you know about Dunlop Mud Rover tires?

Since posting questions regarding tire fit with my setup, I came to the conclusion that 33"x12.50" is as big as I can go for now. So I ran into a guy at a local car wash with a nice looking Tacoma we start talking and turns out his son has a set of 33"x12.50 to sell because he sold his truck. So I bought these Dunlop Mud rover tires. They only have a few thousand miles on them. I was wondering if anybody knows much about these tires or has experience with them?

I have a set and love them! Smooth riding and not too noisy. Obviously they're mud tires so they're louder than my ATs but it's not any worse than my old bfg muds.

Do a search in the 80 forum for these as well, there is a lot of good feedback there too.

With all the logging roads and crap around here the sidewalls would be too thin.Anotherwards 2 ply woud get punctured to easy here at least. I am running 4 or 6 ply tires.

All in all, if you got a good deal in the car wash parking lot, I'd say run 'em and enjoy the deal.

I look a lot things as a whether or not they are a value. To get an almost new set of 33's for $300, is a good value. If they don't work out, not much lost.

Ran the 35s for about 2 years or so...

Beat on them good. DD them as well. Worked good in the rocks, better in the mud than MTRS. Louder than MTRS. They wore well, got about 30k miles out of them and then sold them. I punctured one side wall because of trash on the trails.

Side walls flexed really because they are thin...But aside from that, there were a pretty good. Not the best, not the worst.

The day after I saw you at the Badlands I started to look at building my own rear bumper, then switched gears and ordered one from Jim at SROR. So my rear bumper with tube wrap around protection for the quarters should be here in 2-3 weeks. Also bought an Aussie locker that is sitting on my workbench waiting on me.
If you think thats all too fast, I seriously considered an SOA but I figured I will save that for another day. Thats another reason i was glad to find a decent set of tires, cheaps, because if I do a SOA, tires will have to be bigger than 33's, if it even happens.

Got the tires put on today, Look great, good fit in the wheel well, run good on the road........noisy though. Luckily the LC is not my DD. Made 60 mph seem like 70 mph. Can't wait to put through a real test.
