It really is a sickness. I have always wanted an 80. Drove my GX460 for a few years and it is a great truck. Finally got my 80 and love it. I was planning on selling the GX after I got the 80 but nah. I'm just going to keep both now.
Where it gets really bad is I've never really considered a 60 before but lately I can't help but look for a deal on one too. This is not good guys.
I know a guy local here in Nor Cal just bought a pretty clean 1989 FJ62 for $2000... just had a ding on the front passenger bumper

Spring is here so my place is eating up a lot of time plus over time at work has been sparse and that’s mostly the money I was building with. I’ve been working on welding up the Labs front bumper.Your doing it right with new/good parts and at the rate you’re going you will on the trail long before @baldilocks

Well I got big life changes coming with my first child on the way in 8 more weeks. So I decided to remove my custom cargo retainer/sleeping pad support and put the rear seats back in. I don't forsee myself solo camping in the back anytime soon. I will just stick to my canvas tent or backpacking tent.
My homemade mattress support/cargo barrier thing worked great for all my solo adventures.
I also took the time to give it a quick cleaning and scrapped off all the old crusty stickers. Now I am 100% exterior sticker free

It's orders of magnitude easier to turn a Land Cruiser into a family truckster than it is to turn a family truckster into a Land Cruiser.

I swapped out a used RR door lock and have working locks for the first time in 7+ years.
Next up is a Dorman window regulator/motor to save myself form getting stuck somewhere with the driver's window stuck down. It has happened twice. Once I was home and I used needle nose pliers and a rag to help it along. Once I was at the park in sight of it.
This trim piece (behind the mirror bolts, inside front corner) was already cracked and I finished it off snooping around for this repair. 67429-60020 for someone searching in the future.) I also got the outer-upper belt molding from Toyoda-san.

Rock Auto sells Aisin window regulators. I put them in my ‘96 a couple of years ago and they’ve been solid. Part RPAT-035 .

+1 on that . Sam, I think you were the one who told me about them. I bought a few sets when RA ran a 25% off sale on them for Like 50 bucks each . Everyone I ever installed made the window work like brand new .
Your timing on this recommendation couldn’t be any better for me. The back regulators on my 80 may be on their way out. Once this rain stops, I was going to take the cards off and see if cleaning and lubricating the rails helped but I suspect it’s more than just that.
The angles on that front drive shaft look pretty steep from that pic and may give you issues as those joints will not be happy.I have been struggling with the rear exhaust manifold. I attempted to extract the studs that connect the rear manifold to the down pipes, but one stud kept breaking off. I finally gave up after welding nuts on, applying, heat, going forward and backwards, letting it soak in Kroil. I took it to the machine shop that rebuilt my head, and they had it for a week, and they could not get it to turn out either. Finally, I took it to a local Cruiser only shop and he thought he could get it, but only got it to move slightly then it seized back up. In frustration, I ordered a set for the 95-97 80’s from my local dealer knowing that I had already removed the pair valve, but really wanted to put the O2 sensors in place of the Pair valve, and put the plates over the bungs in the exhaust or just leave the old O2 sensors in place. Then I realized that @Fj80oregon might have what I needed, and as per usual, he came to the rescue, and is sending me the rear exhaust manifold I need with the bung in the manifold!
Tonight I was able to de-pin the broken transmission speed sensor plug that broke during the engine/transmission installation and replace it with a connector sourced from my local dealer. I also got the front and rear drive shafts re-installed. Leave it to me to be the idiot that loses the stupid brass clip that holds the transfer case shifter to the transfer case. Luckily you can still get them from Toyota, so I got that installed as well. I know once I have this truck back on the road, the little baggie with the dang clip will turn up, but I can’t wait for it to turn up on its own. I also fixed my mistake where I installed the power steering cooler upside down, and put on the Moly panel on the back of the center console. I plan to install my GMRS radio here since I will not have any of the seats in the rear.

It had a 3-inch lift on it before my work with no noticeable vibrations, but I know it is a big possibility that I will have to go to DC shafts. I want to get it running and run it down the road to see where I am at before just blindly pulling the trigger on the DC shafts.
Are they front and rear dependents? Can the fronts work with the rears?

Yes, they come with the motors and the proper connector so no need to cut anything. Just like OEM but way cheaper.
