What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Those dam things run wild in the street where I live and are a total nuisance 😂🤣🤪
FYI, these are VTA - Very Tasty Animals! If road kill can be picked up in your state, don't hesitate! Once drove into a flock of these birds, had turkey tracks running up the windshield. All souls (and turkeys) made it out unscathed.

Getting another rear FF custom axle built.

Have one more rear and 2 fronts to build out.

Damn hard to drive through Billings without hitting a turkey or two in my experience. Around here, it's the geese.

Trying this new hood bra. think it looks good.
Solid looking rig! As a detailer with how clean your 80 is, I advise against having hood bras since they will trap dirt/moisture inside of them, degrading the paint in an accelerated fashion (think sandpaper to your paint) unless you intend to have the removal/washing of the hood bra area on a quite frequent basis. If you want some good rock chip/UV protection, I recommend getting PPF done (yes it is pricey done right), doesn't need to be the whole vehicle, just the hood and other front end paint areas that typically see flying stuffs hucked in their direction if that is your concern.

It was time to replace all of the body mounts, bushings, bolts and hardware. It was actually easier than I thought it would be, and I was able to do it without anyone else assisting.

Oh my gosh! I’d immediately rotate those concrete blocks so the holes are top/bottom and not side-side. That’s a tragedy waiting to happen. Those brittle concrete blocks break under pressure when on their side like that.

Already has front end ppf but yes you are definitely correct!

What's the point of a see-through sun visor? Why not just add a tint strip?
And not cheap see–through visors, either. Have you priced Rosen's?

This sucker really did not want to come off. My 15 minute oil change turned into a full morning of cursing at this bugger. Who makes an oil filter relocation kit? Not the little 90º bend guy, but something to put it in a more accessible spot?

This always happens to me as well 🤷‍♂️
I don’t know what it is with the 1FZ and OEM filter.
