This is my new to me 96. Don’t think I’ve ever achieved more than 12.5 mpg in my 91. Only mod on the 96 so far is ARB front bumper. The place I bought the rig from did head gasket, intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, and cleaned the injectors before I bought it. Also seems to have been well maintained by the PO — second owner who had it for ~15 yrs before I bought it.Man, I'd kill for that kind of fuel economy out of my '92! Do you have any mods to this rig?

Love my 4x4 Labs bumpers. Looking clean on your Red 80Got the “factory” rear bumper off along with the rear tire carrier that was apparently barely hanging on removed. Also, got the rear frame modified and the 4x4 Labs rear bumper installed.

I've been doing tons on mine getting ready for my trip out to Cruise Moab in a few weeks...it should be about a 5k mile round trip. Finished platform/drawers, rewired dash for sub woofer & new locker switches, all fluids, and so much more....
Topping off my project list was the TEQ Offroad under hood light strip kit...nice harness and quality led strip, installation was a breeze. I wired up to my secondary battery and just did the switch (omitted the plunger). This is in my pitch black garage, only light is the strip...impressive!

I put that TEQ under hood lighting kits on my GX and love it so I immediately ordered one for the 80 too. I did the plunger and it's in the lower right. I'll probably do the same on the 80 wired to the second battery.Agreed! One of the better things I’ve done to the cruiser. You delete the load sensing valve in the back too? Finally got around to fully deleting the abs. Huge improvement in braking I was hesitant to do it but it really paid off.
Fill both gaps with foamRadiator replace with a Liland 1469AA2R. It fits okay. I should go back and fill the gaps with something. Also, there are no clips for the overflow hose.

The dual swing out latch is the only known issue. To prevent from "Rattling" you really need to tighten the mechanisms and it takes some force to latch/un-latch.You are KILLING it on progress, strong work. I also have the 4x4Labs rear bumper and love it.
You're not kidding. Mine doesn't rattle but it takes some real effort to unlatch it.The dual swing out latch is the only known issue. To prevent from "Rattling" you really need to tighten the mechanisms and it takes some force to latch/un-latch.
I have both 4x4labs and Avid offroad. Both very similar in design but Avid has the better latching mechanisms.
