Did you search before posting? Oh damn, that’s a question too…What constitutes a question?
Asking for a friend.

Sponsored by Escape Gear!!Escape Gear safari type dash pocket cover, shift console cover w/pockets and driver’s seat organizer. It’s all medium gray. Color a bit weird in photos as I was parked by an orange garage.
Also fixed my tailgate. Just noticed there was only one hinge, and I stand on it pretty often. I replaced that side with a 15 1/8” tailgate cable. I saw somewhere that this size matches and decided to try it since the old used hinges are pretty pricey. 2 cables for $15. So I have a spare.

Heck yeah! Gonna leave the PAIR out? I took mine off and just put in the 95-97 water pipe and never looked back. You can plug the PAIR air nipple on the filter canister with one of these for rather cheap...Amazed at how easy it was to take out the PAIR system, Water Pump, Heat Shields, and Exhaust Manifolds. Only issue I had was with two of the studs between the Y-pipe and the rear manifold. I figured I was going to be in for a real fight, but got all of that done in about an hour.
I have thought about it but I don't know what the advantage to removing it is. I am blocking off the EGR while I have the head out, but have not gotten around to researching or searching the forum for the advantages and disadvantages. I live in a non-emmissions state, so I don' think it is an issue. I am just not educated on it yet.Heck yeah! Gonna leave the PAIR out? I just warmed it with the heat gun and pressed it on.
It's a pretty passive device it uses the scavenging effect of exhaust pulses to draw fresh air into the exhaust during warm-up to combine with the excess of fuel to warm the cats up to operating temp faster. When the truck is out of the warm-up enrichment state it turns off a VSV stopping the little reed valves in the PAIR from opening. The truck cannot detect if is there or removed. Just block off the vacuum lines and plug the exhaust holes in the manifold (they're O2 size) and you're set.I have thought about it but I don't know what the advantage to removing it is. I guess I could use the extra space in the engine bay for sure. I will see if I can fab up block off plates or install the old o2 sensors in the holes. It's a pretty passive device it uses the scavenging effect of exhaust pulses to draw fresh air into the exhaust during warm-up to combine with the excess of fuel to warm the cats up to operating temp faster. It arrived.
It was not an original OEM part 85315-60071. It appears to be slimmer substitute part 85325-60061, which does work, but doesn't hold the full gallon of washer fluid like the original.
Sending it back because I can buy 85325-60061 much cheaper from other sources if I wanted a slimmer version and the seller should have mentioned that it wasn't the original OEM part but a slimmer substitute.
"oem packaging was damaged. please be sure to confirm shipping box is suitable for transit. after multiple transit times, boxes will lose durability. also be sure to follow return policy, selecting ordered by mistake would have been better suited. this tank is OEM. original equipment manufacturer, ASMO. It WAS and IS the OEM for the 80 series washer tank. "
Just finished this job last week and yes, this one was the most difficult extraction. Had to buy a gigante puller and finally got it.Got the transfer case almost disassembled and ready for the new low range gears, underdrive, and part-time kit. Just need a longer puller set to get the last gears off the output cluster.

cool handles.Just finished building my drawers. Part of a complete interior makeover and stereo install. Pretty happy with how they turned out. Just big enough for a kobalt tool set

There is a downside if you live where there is emissions testing (or move in the future) and you get an examiner that knows the job. The vehicle will fail the visual inspection. If you do choose to remove the components, save everything in case you need to put it back in the future. It's a pretty passive device it uses the scavenging effect of exhaust pulses to draw fresh air into the exhaust during warm-up to combine with the excess of fuel to warm the cats up to operating temp faster. Congrats on the new to you transfer case.I finally checked off a big item on the to-do list - rebuilt & re-geared the transfer case. It all went pretty smoothly with a few of the parts putting up a fight to pull off the shafts. I now have a real nice collection of pullers! I went with the underdrive gears as well while I was at it. I've done the break-in and went for my first trail shakedown run yesterday. Very pleased with the new low range.
