What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

I was probably overly meticulous on cleaning these. I have a 30 liter ultra sonic cleaner, parts washer, 100 gallon boiler (home made hot tank), and then used a Dremel with small wire wheel and rotary scotch brite pad. Oh and wire brush, full sized scotch brite pad, super clean degreaser and elbow grease!

It catches “blow by”. Ordered and received my setup too. Warmer weather coming, so it’s going in the 80 soon. Interested to see how much, if any oil is caught in the can.

It catch’s the oil before it go’s into the intake manifold.
The line it’s in vents the valve cover and essentially the engine.
Burning motor oil is not a good thing.
That oil also end up lining the intake, manifold and can clog things up.

For me personally, I like answering peoples' questions, regardless if a search would have been more appropriate.

Escape Gear safari type dash pocket cover, shift console cover w/pockets and driver’s seat organizer. It’s all medium gray. Color a bit weird in photos as I was parked by an orange garage.

Also fixed my tailgate. Just noticed there was only one hinge, and I stand on it pretty often. I replaced that side with a 15 1/8” tailgate cable. I saw somewhere that this size matches and decided to try it since the old used hinges are pretty pricey. 2 cables for $15. So I have a spare.

Went back and forth on whether to post this but a box truck driver decided the turn he missed was more important than the safety of those around them, drove me straight into a pole.
