Working on these classic car... The plastics are so brittle. I broke many plastic clips.. I wonder if heating up the areas with a heat gun will prevent it from cracking.

I restored the lower intake manifold today.

I have used a heat gun to warm up plastic clips when working in the cold...

Finally convinced my friend Bambeds to do a release of a 80 series platform. If anyone is interested heres the link just went live tonight... I plan to fit a slightly modified queen tri fold mattress on it.

These vents used to be less expensive when I checked last year. Thanks to our great supreme leader.. we are paying more for made in Japan parts. However far less than those commie in Vietnam. When I was living there had some parts delivered from Japan.. they taxed 50 percent from the purchased cost..

If that did not solve the problem, pressurizing the cooling system may help locate the problem.
Closing this one out. Leak was a hairline crack in the inlet pipe.

New pipe (16321-66011) fitted today and problem solved.
Now I just need to throw the supercharger back on and try and start it for the first time in 9 months or so. 🤞

Discovered a windshield leak during the recent heavy rains. Initially noticed a wet passenger side floor mat, probably dropped through the dash. Picked up an OEM gasket. Trying to decide if I should find a competent shop that will follow the fsm, or attempt it myself. I lack the experience and tools to tackle this one. View attachment 4036937

I had the same problem, and now my climate control only works intermittently. SUCKS. Got the leak fixed, but my climate control is effed.

I have not done the Rubicon, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say lockers are worth more than 2" of tire.
