Quick trip down Padre Island National Park. I used to go at least once a year as a kid, but the last time we made it down was in 2016 same car just a few more minutes.

Man, I remember what a nightmare that could be while living in NorCal back in the '80's, and I can't imagine it's gotten any better. God I love Alaska!!I finally got my 80 to pass cali smog after the 3rd try today, she runs like a champ again.
Working on these classic car... The plastics are so brittle. I broke many plastic clips.. I wonder if heating up the areas with a heat gun will prevent it from cracking.
I just hot tanked mine to clean it and put it back together. Just got the injectors back from RC Injectors. I wish mine looked as good as yours!I restored the lower intake manifold today.
You should consider slotting the outside hole on the filter bracket. It'll be far easier to get it off next time.I just hot tanked mine to clean it and put it back together. Just got the injectors back from RC Injectors. I wish mine looked as good as yours!

Oh man, super jealous. Still trying to get past the P0401. It's the last thing to getting it off non-operational status. I think there will be an EGR cleaning in my future.I finally got my 80 to pass cali smog after the 3rd try today, she runs like a champ again.
There is also a modification to remove one of the supports in the lower intake between runners so that the wiring harness can pass through. Makes installation and service in the future much easier. Thanks! Never would have thought of that!
