Out for a drive in the desert southwest with my daughter who loves the beast as much as I do.

pretty sure that's where it is

Looks really sharp.
What route did you take on the calipers and were they bad?

Phil -

After doing some research I decided to forgo re-manufactured calipers and went with new OEM and frame to axle and axle to caliper lines. Mine were still good and I wanted an OEM set to rebuild as a spare.

For anyone doing new calipers they dont come with new union bolts and I couldn't bring myself to put an old rusted bolt on the new bling....

  1. Went up north to Tonto Basin for a little hunting. Plenty of does to look at, no bucks to go after.
  2. Replaced all vac lines - anyone want my old ones - FREE!

Actually only internals - I had some extra time waiting on some parts so I let my OCD freak flag fly and cleaned / painted everything while I was in there.

You have to get back to work, couple of areas to correct and then add the accessories at the bottom: Brake line support.JPG

Definitely clean enough to eat off! Wish mine looked like that...

Installed my DC drive shaft from Land Tank. Vibes are gone and hopefully stay that way. New hardware from Beno.

Rebuilt my front axle and replaced my valve cover gasket...

No eating out of my knuckles though!

^^^^^That's a awsome pic!!! Frame that one for the garage.

finally snorkeled

bit the bottle and finally got the used snorkel I bought sorted out so I could install it.
Skipped straight to step six, a couple of times before that first cut.
Did it in the drive-way, started a little late in the day; my head-lamp batteries were running low by the end.

Finally got a chance to wash her!

Same as every weekend, probably not a damn thing. However, I might check the washer fluid level to see if the water froze and cracked the reservoir. If it did, I'll get around to grabbing the one off the wreck someday. Maybe next weekend.
