Long blocks are definitely to the outside - that’s the “this side out” for the tread asymmetry. That tire isn’t directional, though, because if it was you’d have the same pattern on both sides and need to keep the tires on the side originally installed.
Same thing with all other non-directional tires - the lug direction flips side to side.
Same with the STT Pro here, just with this tire it doesn’t matter which side is out due to tread symmetry.
Yeah. 4 of my 5 tires are mounted backwards. At the shop now getting them remounted.

Finally got my spare tire. Getting ready for a trip to big bend and then red River nm this month. Lake season is ending and camping season is finally here.

The A/C compressor also shuts off if the refrigerant pressure is too low. I suspect there's a leak somewhere, together with an uncooperative expansion valve..
Ambient temps were somewhere near 100°F on Saturday afternoon; with the new fan, clutch, and radiator, coolant temps never went above 187°F.
You're right, hopefully you find the leak quickly. I also had a fan put in front of the AC radiator so as to keep it cool, that might be another piece of insurance. If the AC is on the fan turns on automatically.

Worked on the headliner after cutting the roof a couple of weeks ago. Currently have a plywood platform in place for the bed upstairs, I’m planning on installing gas struts to hold the platform in the raised position when the bed isn’t in use. Starting to provide some travel guide service. I co-guided a large group in Moab for the holiday. I used this very nice HDJ80 to shuttle a couple of clients down the Shaffer switch back and back up. Although their vehicles had AHC it wasnt enough to handle the road.

Small miracle. Somehow went 600 odd miles on 1.5 tanks of gas? Doesn't seem possible. I'm at a total loss.
Oakland to Bridgeport, 1/2 tank. Bridgeport to Mammoth + side trips, then through Yosemite to Manteca = 3/4 tank. Manteca to home 1/3 tank. About 16 mpg. By my guess.

Did some mild off-roaring in Bridgeport, near Travertine Hot Springs and on the Aurora road to Bodie. (Didn't make it to Bodie, turned back early due to impending sunset.)
This was about as gnarly as it got, but wow the Eastern Sierra is jaw droppingly beautiful.

Special note. We drove through 15 miles of devastation from wild fires on the way to Senora Pass from Pinecreast on hwy 108. Gut wrenching. But huge shout out to all the fire crews. All of the buildings we saw in the area were intact despite the burn. Amazing work. However, the historic Dardanelle Resort was lost.
