Great looking stuff! I have a question....I see a lot of guys running the “Flat Link” like what you just received (but the ones I’ve seen don’t look to be 1/2 the quality of the one in your pic!) , so my question is- Is there an advantage with the flat link? Easier to hook up? Just curious.... they want pretty good coin for them, and I like the look of them, I’m just trying to justify it to myself! Thanks man.... Merry Xmas!

G'Day mate!

To be honest I have no idea. I wanted the Hook but it was too expensive for me to buy like $400 AUD. The Flat Link E all you need to is hook in a rated shackle on the end of it together with a strap so that way its a closed link. To be honest I just think it looks cool lol

I agree.... they look good! Thanks!

I prefer CB shorts in town. They are quieter. After I moved back here from Texas I popped a Mom and her kids trying to get in to my garage. Got a nice visit from officer friendly to let me know that isn’t allowed here.
aguila colibri, powderless primer rounds. Perfect for bolt action. I use these for ground squirrel and rabbit.

Installed this sweet Tough Dog 2" lift with 45mm 9 way adjustable foam cell shocks thanks to @reevesci . Upgrade is an understatement. Only ran into a couple speed bumps that turned a 3 hour install into a 7 hour install. :D

Trying to get rid of rattles, i opened up the front headliner to dampen all vibration from the moonroof motor and surrounding areas. Ah one less noise, i got another left that is hard to track and it sounds like coming from the passenger dashboard side.

How far back did you go in the headliner? I found a terrible rattle in the supports over the backseat/cargo area. You couldn't hear it with the liner in, but with the liner out it is a hell of a racket. I figure the predictability of these trucks is pretty good once someone starts to see issues they start popping up. When it warms up again, I am going get busy with the 3M adhesive.

Pulled the starter, replaced the fuel filiter while the starter was out and while working on that the PHH kept staring at me saying replace me, replace me, So added that to list with the starter out.
Should do the heater bypass number 3 line right in front of the phh, it runs up to the throttle body

Just replace PHH no need to bypass unless of course you want to. But the PHH is easy enough.

Just the front half. at some point i like to tear it down and do more noise insulation. the roof is pretty thin and the headliner material is pretty thin as well.

Spent some quality seat time in the 80.

Just drove 1,200 miles straight through (my wife and I traded shifts) from New Jersey to Mississippi. Lunch yesterday in NJ, dinner in VA, sunrise in AL, and breakfast this AM on the Gulf Coast in MS :).

1,187 miles, 21 hours, and 93 gallons of the finest 87 octane (cheapest:D) money can buy.

Even at 254K, the LX didn’t miss a beat.

Merry Christmas

Lexi took me to work safely today... what a good little piggy.

Part 493 of my parts inventorying and organization:

My 14 year old Makita 18v impact finally wore out last night. So I picked up a new one for myself for Christmas!

Woke up to the first snow (kinda) of the year. Had to clean off the 80s and went out to play. Pulled a few out of the ditch. Trail Tailor bumper handles it like a champ.
