Been having some random intermittent no start issues with the 80 lately. It always starts eventually if I wait a little bit, but decided to order a new starter that will hopefully go in this week.

Haven't posted in a while, but there has been some really beautiful beach days this winter on Oahu.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun Christmas weekend! Wishing you all happy holidays and hoping Santa brings you lots of tools and 80 parts!!

if you haven't replaced the fuseable links yet that would be a good idea to try first before replacing the starter, I had a similar issue and the links were corroded internally and giving a high resistance.

I finally got around to replacing my oil pressure switch harness and now the gauge works, only took about 5 months to get around to it

Oh and I installed a new DFGoffroad titling fridge slide made in USa around 300 and very well made and he makes all types. So now I use the fridge slide I built for my tools makes it way easier to access them instead of being strapped down in backseat location. DFG Offroad and Paul from equipt1 sent me this escape gear dash pad which has already proven quite handy and it keeps the sun of the dash. And b4 anyone asks its does not block defroster at all, theres a cut out for the windshield defrogger. Great looking stuff! I have a question....I see a lot of guys running the “Flat Link” like what you just received (but the ones I’ve seen don’t look to be 1/2 the quality of the one in your pic!) , so my question is- Is there an advantage with the flat link? Easier to hook up? Just curious.... they want pretty good coin for them, and I like the look of them, I’m just trying to justify it to myself! Thanks man.... Merry Xmas!

Installed a new fairlead on my warn Vr series winch VR are good winches but the fairlead they supply was cast and thick and i couldnt use my frontrunner license plate mount which just pops in or out last thing I need is any more attention on the truck. Also the superhook form factor55 is fairly new but already taking a beating. View attachment 1596199 View attachment 1596201 View attachment 1596202

What license plate mount did you use? Link? I can't find anything on Front Runner's website...

@RFB ?

Swapped out my ToughDog caster plates for a set from @landtank. I think the ToughDog version would be more suited to a taller lift but with my 3" lift I was left with a bit of vibration. Rick helped a lot trying to work the angles and eventually coming up with a good solution.

I usually rescue raccoons with 22lr. Easier then a plank. They are too fast for me.

I prefer CB shorts in town. They are quieter. After I moved back here from Texas I popped a Mom and her kids trying to get in to my garage. Got a nice visit from officer friendly to let me know that isn’t allowed here. :rofl:

^^ You might need an accessorie to be quieter so people don't call those uniforms.

CB shorts are as loud as a pellet gun. I didn’t use them when officer friendly paid a visit. :slap:

$7.80 wind/rack fairing (faring) build. I was hating on the noise my gamiviti rack had, so with some spare Yakima parts and a piece of scrap plexiglass from a local plastics company, I made a wind fairing. The noise (or lack thereof) is so much better!

Maybe THAT would be a good application for a Wix Oil Filter!

God Bless TEXAS!!!!! ;)

It was their round bar clamp and typical bolt/wing nut thing. I can take better pictures and write up a separate post. Might be helpful.

Honestly I dont even have a rack but it does look like an excellent part for others.
