Ha! 45 didn't sound so bad till I converted it to 113* Fahrenheit...

Having been (un)fortunate to have lived in both extremes - +40°c in California and -46°c in Sweden - I think my preference would be for the cold climate. At least you can dress for cold weather - there is only so much clothes you can take off. Probably the only benefit of a high heat climate is that you don't have to scrape sunshine off your windshield in the morning.

Merry Christmas 80 series Mud family! Wishing all of you a happy holiday season from my Land Cruiser family to yours!!!

haha, I grew up in ATL, my best friend was from Lilburn, not far from Jimmy Carter Blvd. behind the huge temple. Wish i was into offroading back then =)
That’s right around my stomping grounds, man!

Where do ya'll go to wheel? I would like to start small as my rig is stock for now?
I’ve gone up to Dahlonega a couple times, and I drive around a friends farm up in Commerce occasionally.
I definitely don’t do it as much as I’d like!

Truck looks great! What front bumper is tgat and are you running spacers with those wheels?
Bumper is 3rd hand one off thats been all cut up... 1.25" wheel spacers with fjc wheels 125mm BS

Used the 80 to bring home lumber to build new shelves for storing Land Cruiser parts. And an elevated work bench so I don’t have to lean over when working on stuff. Going to add another 8’ section of shelves to the right for more storage. Pretty excited to have this project almost done.

So much room for activities now! Like rebuilding my spare 1FZ-FE!

Great looking stuff! I have a question....I see a lot of guys running the “Flat Link” like what you just received (but the ones I’ve seen don’t look to be 1/2 the quality of the one in your pic!) , so my question is- Is there an advantage with the flat link? Easier to hook up? Just curious.... they want pretty good coin for them, and I like the look of them, I’m just trying to justify it to myself! Thanks man.... Merry Xmas!

The flat link is for people that don't like the look of the thimble sticking out of the front of their truck when the winch is not in use.

I prefer CB shorts in town. They are quieter. After I moved back here from Texas I popped a Mom and her kids trying to get in to my garage. Got a nice visit from officer friendly to let me know that isn’t allowed here.

Even though I'm in California, my nearest neighbor is a quarter mile and shoots more than I do. Only time the cops come around is to ask me whose cattle are on the highway since I'm the closest house.
