Bolted on my new bumper and non-broken headlight bezels. The turn signals went in after I took these, but it was dark. Very happy with the setup, but it's clear now that I need to upgrade my front springs to OME mediums. The stinkbug is definitely worse with 75 extra pounds of steel in front. I also need to do a little fabrication to have front recovery points...

Ordered a front end skid plate to be powder coated black. And sold my 60s recall fuel tank to a mud member a few weeks back.

Added ARwannaB 160w LED lights in my old Hella 500ff harness.

Worth it.

Had the cargo area full with these newly acquired things, more to come....

The idler pulley bearing was squeeling pretty good. After looking at some threads on here I went to Napa for a new 6302 bearing. $14 later I was good to go.

No need for a press, just use a large socket and mallet to knock out the old bearing and to seat the new one. 15 minute job and now nice and quiet.

This is what I had to contend with over the past 3-4 weeks due to an accident. Long story short, at-fault party had no insurance, I carry uninsured on the cruiser and the insurance company cut me a check for $3k. I didn't feel like giving $3k+ to a body shop, I talked to a couple and most estimates would've eaten up the entire amount if not more - so I decided, why not try to fix it myself ! I have zero experience with auto paint, body work - and that was partly the point. So I picked up some spray guns, an air compressor, air filters, paint mask, paint, primer, clear coat, sourced a 60 fender from mud classifieds, new side-marker and corner lense all for ~$900.

2 weeks ago was paint/clear coat... this weekend was replacement.

Accident damage...

Replacement fender painted and clear coated. I have some clear coat runs, saw on youtube how to remove them with razor blades.

It's not perfect, new color is darker as expected. I still need to wet sand and polish the fender. I'm tempted to just paint the entire rig with no clear coat, I really like the OEM 155 color without the gloss. The rear armor in the background and sliders will be mounted shortly - I plan to use the leftover coin on a front armor - but the OEM bumper did its part in this accident.

Out of the garage for the first time in a long time! So much work, and more to go, but so so fun

Took the dogs for a hike. Half way down the return trail I meet a guy that says "that must be your 60" How did he know? I wasn't wearing any geeky Toyota garb and there were other cars in the lot.

This has happened to me too. I am very proud when it happens.

People know bro, people just know (cool people anyway).

So fj62 intermediate pipes are akin to 1 3/4" OD. Walker cali cats are 2 1/4" ID... those reducers were 10 days away... so I made some... the walker oem muffler is 2 1/4" ID inlet; the pipe is about 2 1/8" OD, or right on 2" ID, so a 2 1/4"OD-2"ID reducer works fine there. The muffler outlet is 2" Id, so is the oem pipe. So a 2"ID- 2 1/4"OD(which is about 2 1/8"ID=OD of oem pipe) works here as well... I have one more cut to make and won't know what it is till tomorrow, but I do know which pope it will be. Kiss my legal ass, CARB...

Picked up floor mats from upholstery shop with heel pad and new edge binding added. I found these OEM mats on ebay, drivers side had typically wear and hole worn through the mat.
