What color wires to check rear elocker (1 Viewer)

I want to ck the actuator on a rear elocker. I have the wires loose and a battery, which wires to touch pos/neg to see if it works?

from '97 ETC, it was green/blue & green, zap it & if it doesn't throw use a true 12v source you know is good. seemed like you zap the same wires to release. Reverse polarity to get it to throw open.

I'm going off memory - if you don't see those colors, ignore all I said. The good part is in all my reading it seemed like actuators were tough - oh, if it doesn't work on your try, reverse polarity then too, as you might be trying to throw it open when it already is.


I ninja editted my colors since I ran out to the shop for my ETC - just making it plain so I wasn't spreading wrong info
