I keep breaking ev erything, the largest zipties, welded attachments. Not sure why. Angle maybe. They sure do POP off the rubber cones up top.
I use plumbers pipe bundling wire (the ones that feed into the screw base, which you then tighten by twisting the top screw).

The latest was electrical conduit thingies welded to the bottom perches. One has held but the other... I guess my poopoo welds suck because it came loose. But something makes the spring have some sort of load because when they unload, it's violent... it's like a side unload... and usually the driver side does it. Actually it's almost always the drivers side that does the violent unload pop-out gone doen the trail. i actually can finish the obstacle on my bumpstop so we good.
I'm thinking you need something that's not so rigid as steel clips, but flexes a little when stressed. Try using a tie down strap through the bottom coils and around the axle.
Or another idea is to run limit straps...oh wait, that would be the proper way to do it...nevermind. If you want to do it Dirty, use some old seat belts that you can unbuckle when you feel like puking.
