Yep, they did, but it is still what I would want b/c I would like to keep the firewall and floor intact. I don't want the hassle or redoing all the stuff attached to the firewall and floor.

You know-I like to wheel and wrench and fab as little as possible. Especially fab since I suck at that anyway.

Yeah... but anyway you look at it.. it's gonna be weeks, and weeks, and weeks, in the lab.

no new mods. Broke a hub... waiting on new one.

I'll definately be at the Post Office Monday, Eric. have tons of other stuff to ship...:D

it will be on the way then.

What wall thickness are you thinking about using 1.75 DOM for the exo?

No worries Kyle! She filthy and needs a break.

I'ma let my man Lenny divulge them things.

Mixture of 1.75 DOM & 1. 75 Hrew. All .120 thickness.

Eric you coming for the wrenching session next weekend?

On the way to the round up, daryl and myself finalized the cage design for His 80 .
It's gonna be sweet!

Like always, I say I'm coming, but it will depend on the wallet.

thanks, that helps. I'm working on getting my suspension dialed in right now and then I am going to start chopping things off and welding things on.

BH Dialing in your suspension is the last thing you want to do once all your work is done, otherwise you'll end up with a rig that is perfectly setup for the weight it USED to be. Cut first, Calculate later:beer:

Lorena is at a crossroads right now. She wheels like no other junk I've ever owned. Even WALKED every obstacle the GAP could throw at her this weekend.(A wongfield (chinese birf) blew though).
But either I'm going to have to get rid of her, scrap her body completely, or get smaller tires.
- I don't want smaller tires, i actually want 39.5 stickies.
- I want to stay toyota. i'd be cool as hell to have an 80-buggy similiar to an ftoy
- If I sold her, I'd go D60/14bolt/350/atlas/4-link type buggy... basically no longer a yota.

I've got the summer to decide what to do. I'll most likely be wheeling her as-is for the rest of the year until I can save more money to go any of the above directions...

so what exactly is wrong with her as she sits now, tires rubbing body?

She's a heavy heifer.
And the body structure isn't truly secure for a hard roll-over. Plus, she's a filthy girl who hates birfs.
If I was to remove the sheetmetal, I'd leave the firewall, remove the top padded dash, narrow the engine bay, then tube. I'd also go to coil-overs or air shocks and 3-link the front.

Buy some Longfields so can wheel w/o breaking and then stay the course.

I know you saw this and shunt yo'self.

I helped with building that! I did more pointing, but was there the first weekend of tube. That curved dash... That's me!
I may be trying to steal lenny's shop for a while when that fateful time comes to tube...

I follered that thing all weekend........til I broke my rear pinion..............
