Both of " you guys' rigs" . That better, Teach?

Drive Lorena over here

I don't know if you saw this hidden in the forum members front bumpers thread, but he says later that the drivers fender doubles as a toolbox.

That is pretty bad ass

What you had in mine fo front fenders, Eric?

Not a big fan of those with the nice background ..

I'm not a fan of those fenders on a fullbodied 80 actually... def ain't going on Lorena. I'm not doing fenders, I'm going to put flat stock to cover up the ugliness then do tube.

And honestly, I'm having second thoughts about the body all-together. I might just chop everything off but the firewall and floor to go FJToy...

Yeah if you plan on going FJ toy then just go straight to FJ Toy.
Cage work is much easier.no body parts to "worry" about . Much lighter.
No Brainer fer ya.

That's alotta tube though, no?

FJ toy, you're gonna eventually want that anyway. You know how I know this!

I know where a FJ40 hood and bezel are... if he decides not to use them... otherwise, I'll be after one of those fiberglass 40 hoods...

Last time I checked 1.75 DOM 1.20 wall was 6.85 a foot.
Hrew is $2.20 for the same size.
For a very basic ftoy with no triangulation:
I recommend DOM for the driver and passenger.
Everything else can be hrew

DOM
A hoop should be around 17 feet
Dash bar 5 feet
B hoop around 15 feet
Harness bar 5 feet
4 Spreaders (connect A hoop to B hoop) at 3 feet each =12 feet
$369.90 no tax
HREW
front horizontal bar 15 feet
Rear horizontal bar 15 feet
$66

Very very basic. No tie ins to frame.

Could also leave the front alone and tube out the back then tube the front later.

Just a thought

she dirty
I like that idea! although, matthew is a mere windshield away from that right now. lawl!

Brett, they ripped you a new one on your FToy thread where you were thinking about doing this... I still think it's the cheapest way to go though.

Yep, they did, but it is still what I would want b/c I would like to keep the firewall and floor intact. I don't want the hassle or redoing all the stuff attached to the firewall and floor.

You know-I like to wheel and wrench and fab as little as possible. Especially fab since I suck at that anyway.
