I went out with a couple Yotatech guys this weekend to Jacumba/In-Ko-Pah. It started out prettty mellow but we definately found some challenges as well a perfect little camping spot overlooking the desert below. We were basically north as well as south of the I8 near Jacumba so the view was of the Ocotillo and Superstition area. Here's a link so I don't have to post all the pics again:

Looks like a good time. Dig those 80 wheels on the third gen, looks sharp.

Yeah always a  area:

Head this about Valley of the Moon / Smugglers Cave:

Park officials have started enforcing the rules for off road vehicles
for Valley of the Moon & Smugglers Cave. First thing, call the Bureau of Land Management Office in El Centro to get a permit.:

Second, you must start on the back side of the hill where the old paved road use to go up. Once you arive at the top of the hill, you will see brown signs. They are not clearly marked, they just have a green diamond at the top with a four digit number after that. Those are the only
trails you can travel on. If they're not marked, they are prohibited.

These rules have just changed.

The contact person to contact regarding the new rules as far as where you can and can't go is:
Dallas Meeks

El Centro Office
