Anyone done this? I don’t like the OEM front recovery point/ tie down location as I keep hitting them on rocks and they can be hard to get to when you need to. I’m thinking about welding recovery points onto the front of my T13 for easier access and so I can remove the OEM recovery points.
I’m not sure this is a good idea though. While the bumper is indirectly bolted to the frame, not sure it’s really designed for pulling on it for a recovery. While it’s pinned to the winch carrier the pins are only 1/4” IIRC. Maybe 3/8”. There are six other bolts so it’s not coming off but it could possibly shift.
