The bottom of my rear wheel arches where they meet the rocker panel has rusted. I am assuming I need to weld the area and repaint??

I am looking for a place located in the PA/Ny/NJ area.

A shop has quoted me $550 per side without paint. Appreciate any options or insight into this repair.

I've just had the dog legs and rocker panels replaced front to back, i bought these replacement parts Dog Legs Rocker panels , I know these are UK links, but its just for an example. The job escalated when the lads started digging into it and it ended up with 36 hrs to dig out all the rust and replace the panels. I would suggest going at it with a screwdriver of truth and try and get a good insight into where its gone. My rear quarters had also had the tin worm, and the lads fabbed their own panels for these. Good luck, but go in with your eyes open.

One note, specifically regarding Bungle's linked panels: welding on galvanized steel releases toxic zinc fumes. Make sure you know what you're doing and how to properly prep the panel and protect your lungs before just diving in.

Very good point 👍
