WB8LBZ,

Thanks kindly for the welcome. Absolutely. We did Little Disney in Oklahoma right after picking it up, and I'm plotting on a trip through Colorado to the Pacific Northwest this summer. I'd really like to do the Alpine Loop, and I can think of a half dozen places in Wa/Or/Id that would get us some mud on the tires.

Right now, I'm working on not getting swept off the road; I'm out in CenTex and the flooding is no joke.
Since we're in the same state, I'd be happy to hear any suggestions you've got for getting out. I'm pretty new. Apart from tearing around tank trails in HMMWVs, my off-road experience is pretty limited.

Pngunme,

Thank you, sir!

Cheers,
Aaron

@AaronT, I'm way out west at 4200 ft ASL. Mostly private land. New Mexico has better prospects and its 3 miles away.

Hey everyone! I'm Jake, active duty USN MWD handler. I just signed up here, as I'm planning on starting my search for the perfect cruiser and it was recommended that I dive into the forums and learn everything I can. Thanks for having me!

Welcome, Jake!

I'm new myself, but as a recent Landcruiser owner, I'd like to suggest Landcruisersdirect.com. I'm waiting for a few months to really do a comprehensive writeup on my experience, but as is typical, it could be summed up by saying "overwhelmingly positive".

Welcome and good luck finding your cruiser.

Hi Jake, welcome to the highway. Thanks for your service. I hope you are ready for a life long addiction.

I'm Jim and I served in the CDN Infantry. Did a whole bunch of camping & all the other fun things the recruiter promised I would get to do. My service dog Molly has my 6, and I own a 40 but rock both diesel 60 & 70 series Toy. We spend ALL our free time in the wilderness, where ever we end up and all our loot on the Toyota therapy. Thanks to all my military brothers and sisters out there for their service!

Hi Jim and welcome to the highway. Thanks for your service. What a great picture. What a relaxing scene. It makes me think of sitting in a camp chair drinking a cold one with my feet up.

Welcome Jim, nice picture.

Hello,

I don't spend as much time on here as I use to but its nice to see a space set aside for those that serve/d

I am Neil. I served during Desert Storm (89-93) in the US Navy. I was a Gunnersmate. I ran the small arms armory and shot Stinger Missiles.

I have owned several Landcruisers starting when I was too young to drive them. Here is my current 40 series. First pic is from Moab in 2005. The second is more current.

Hey everybody,

Just saw this section and figured I would post up.

I'm not going to get too much into the details (at least for now) but USN mustang sitting at 3/4 of the dream..... Aerospace maintenance type, with some nice photos of our latest foray into the hills of Sicilia.

Thanks and love to my brothers and sisters out there!
