So I see that no one's posted up, so as the appointed "secretary" (why do I feel like I got suckered into it?), I'll post up some (very) rough comments from the meeting tonight.
Jerod actually took notes (in my defense this was prior to me being nominated). I'm sure he can post and fill in or clarify anything I miss.
As many of you have probably gathered, the official name is OR/CA TACO. Oh, wait, sorry, it's Jefferson State Cruisers.
The first act as the newly appointed Jefferson State Cruisers was to eat. It's important to start off on the right foot. Or at least with a cold beer in one hand and a hot burger in the other.
We then covered a tourterous route that Rubicon has nothing on, often getting side tracked with fishing stories, thoughts on converting to propane, and other side discussions best left out. Just don't ask Garret what was in his "special" brownies.
Meeting Highlights:
We have appointed the first three officials to preside over the club. Actaually, I think "appointed" is the wrong word. It was more of "I'm not doing it, so you have to" followed by comments of "sucker".
El Presidante: Jerod (2ndGenToyotaFan)
Embezzler: Garret (Toy350)
Hot Secretary: Gabe (Ebag333)
The monthy dues are currently at $20 per year per member. This number is subject to change as we determine on-going club needs and wants...and once we figure out the yearly salary for the officer positions.
Guest members are welcome on a trial basis. Discussion was raised of potential guest passes or a "one try and then you're in or out". The club member who invites the guest is held fully responsible for said guest.
Club by-laws are pending. Discussion was raised on where to find a copy of example by-laws. It was decided to either use the TLCA example as a guide, or to completely rip off Cascade Cruisers bylaws (including not changing the names on the by-laws). The by-laws will be settled at a later date (possibly by committee?)
Discussion was raised on the general "feel" and "atmosphere" of the club. All members present leaned towards a family style atmosphere where wives/girlfriends/children/dogs/etc would be welcomed and feel comfortable.

and
. The consensus by present members was: don't.
Discussion was raised of potential club sponsored trips, meetings, wrenching meets, etc. A rough guide was quarterly for official meetings (pending potential changes). Different trips were discussed, including day trips and overnight (camping) trips. Trips will be decided at a later point by a committee (yet to be appointed).
The first non-official club trip will be to McGrew trail on Saturday the 12th. Please see the McGrew thread for more details.
Jerod (or anyone else): anything I missed?
