Weird wiper issue.

Got a car in the shop here atm with a weird wiper issue. They won’t turn off, they will change speed with the stalk but only way to get them to stop is to pull the fuse. Anyone come across this?

all fuses are fine, relay works, everything else works, just the wiper issue.

Just a SWAG, but I'd try disconnecting the wire that goes to the wiper sensor at the top middle of the windshield. The purpose of the sensor is to control the wipers when set to intermittent operation, but they have been known to develop a mind of their own. If this solves your problem, then you know you have a bad sensor - or perhaps if the windshield was replaced recently, a bad re-installation of the sensor to the windshield.
