I've noticed lately the seat heat in my LX is fairly "tame". Not certain if that's a module, the seat element, or my seat-of-the-pants calibration is tuned more to my F150? I saw the seat modules are about $400... so maybe I need thicker pants?

Could be the switch itself. I'd check that before playing swaptronics.

Same values for the LX vs LC? The switches are different but I'd imagine the heater and components are the same.

My man. Thanks. I'll have some time this weekend (and record highs too - 75* on 12/3?!)

If the switch checks out you can test the seat climate ecu.
Good luck.

I didn't ask if the passenger seat has the same "issue".
If not you could swap switches and if the problem follows the switch then there is your answer, if not you could swap seat climate control ecu's and if problem moves than there's your answer, if neither fixes or moves problem, than I have a big can of worms I can send you.

I'll have to sit in it and check. Great notes, I'm hoping it's just the potentiometer switch. The back seats are ferociously warm, and the truck lived in Las Vegas and Greenville SC its entire life so I'd be surprised if the switch ever went to "heat".

If you have techstream, there is a module for the seat climate control. When I had trouble with mine (not same issue as your) Techstream had a DTC for failed temp sensor in seat. I ended up finding the connector for the seat back wasn’t connected to the seat bottom. Reconnected and started working. In my case the ECU basically shut everything for the seat down, so no light on switch or anything. Maybe the ECU may be reporting something for you as well.
